About
Hey there, I'm Madeleine. Get to know me!
The power of language has been a pillar of who I am, and ultimately the reason I have been called to journalism for as long as I can remember. Whether playing MSNBC reporter at recess with my friends or attending political marches at the Arizona Capitol with my grandma, I was constantly entranced by the idea of using language to create real, lasting social change.
As a child, I attended dual-language schools in Phoenix and Tempe, Arizona. Now, I am more thankful than I ever could have imagined for this privilege, which ultimately has opened my eyes not only to the Spanish language but also to the beautiful, passionate, and loving culture of the people who speak it. In my reporting, I aim to open as many minds and hearts as I can to the world around us, as this is the best way to promote humankindness and a more enlightened worldview for us all.
